WELCOME TO THE FUTURE
BIOROTOR, the most innovative RBC system in the world.
BIOROTOR was created with the aim to develop an innovative wastewater treatment system which would not only provide superior wastewater treatment, but also work in a way never seen before.
This state-of-the-art commercial sewage system was specifically designed to be more efficient, compact, robust, and simple to operate and maintain than any existing system.
It incorporates numerous innovative processes, and each of its components was carefully crafted by our team of engineers, aiming to take existing systems to the next level.
Lockable Covers
The covers are lightweight and lockable for single-handed access during routine inspection or maintenance.
All system components are easily accessible from any of the 4 covers, and the entire cover assembly is removable for mid-life refurbishment.

High-Quality Media
The BIOROTOR’s media is made with flat virgin Polypropylene (PP) discs that have a diameter of 2.0 meters.
This high-quality media also ensures a consistent biofilm thickness with continuous biofilm sloughing to maintain an ideal biomass for effective treatment.
The first and the last disc have a thickness of 15 mm and the interior discs 1.7 mm.
Revolutionary Ring Gear Drive
Unlike other existing RBCs, BIOROTOR uses a revolutionary ring gear drive, eliminating troublesome gearboxes, improving reliability, and significantly reducing maintenance.
BIOROTOR optimizes energy efficiency by incorporating a ring gear drive on the outer perimeter of the disc. This eliminates large, heavy and costly gearboxes in shaft drive or sprocket drive arrangements.

Improved Water Transfer Buckets
A bucket elevator system enables process versatility, enabling flow control, nutrient removal processes, or lifting for downstream processes.
This forward flow is controlled by means of buckets attached to the discs to transfer a consistent volume of water engined by the rotation of the shaft.

Ingenious Short Shaft
A short single-piece stainless steel shaft is utilized to keep the overall mechanical design weight at a minimum without compromising on the structural integrity of the critical drive components.
This considerably reduces the load and wear on the drive, shaft and bearings.

Independent Low Power Motor
Inside every BIOROTOR module is a small, independent drive motor, which allows each module to operate separately, thereby reducing energy and dependability compared to other RBC systems with one large dedicated motor.
This feature also lends to the modularity of BIOROTOR as additional modules can be added with minimal disruption or downtime.
